  • AAUW’s Mission: To advance equity for women and girls through education, research,
    and advocacy. AAUW is non-partisan and values diversity in its membership and its
    community projects
  • Purpose of GovTrek: To introduce high school Junior and Senior girls to careers in public
    service and to encourage them to consider such careers as they prepare for college
  • GovTrek Schedule
    • 6 sessions, 2 hours each
    • Saturday afternoons in October and November 2019; January -April 2020
    • Culminating in half-day conference in May 2020
